About

Article from April 1924

Founded in 1921 by Francis Auburn, a native of Montmerre, The Veremonter began as a modest one-cent daily publication distributed along Norham Avenue to socialites and professionals traveling to the city’s downtown district.

What started as a small circulation paper quickly grew into a trusted source of news and public information across the region. Through decades of social, political, and economic change, The Veremonter has remained committed to delivering timely, accurate, and thoughtful reporting.

Today, the paper circulates approximately 27,000+ copies daily and operates as a state-run publication under the Veremont Institution. With a continued focus on public service journalism, The Veremonter covers local, national, and international developments, providing readers with reliable insights into the issues shaping society.

Rooted in tradition yet evolving with the modern era, The Veremonter stands as a pillar of information, accountability, and civic awareness in the State of Veremont.
